River of Life
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are excited to share that our upcoming math lesson will take a creative and meaningful approach by integrating concepts from the Bible, specifically from Ezekiel 47:1-12. This lesson, titled "The River of Life," will encourage students to explore mathematical concepts such as measurement, multiplication, and exponential growth while connecting them to spiritual themes of growth and renewal.
In Ezekiel’s vision, a river flows from the temple, growing deeper and wider as it moves forward, bringing life and healing wherever it goes. Students will engage in activities such as:
Measuring and calculating the depth and width of the river at different points.
Graphing the river’s growth to visually understand progression and expansion.
Exploring the concept of exponential growth through mathematical problem-solving.
Through this lesson, students will not only practice essential math skills but also reflect on how growth—both mathematical and spiritual—happens gradually and with purpose. We hope this will encourage them to see how faith and learning can intersect in meaningful ways.
We encourage you to ask your child about the lesson and discuss the concept of growth, whether in learning, faith, or personal development. Consider asking questions like:
What did you learn about how the river grew in Ezekiel's vision?
How can we see growth happening in our own lives?
What are ways we can step deeper into learning and into our relationship with God?
If you have any questions about the lesson or would like to learn how you can support your child’s learning at home, please feel free to reach out.
Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education and spiritual growth.
