The Last Supper
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to share with you an upcoming lesson that will focus on the profound and meaningful story of Jesus' Last Supper. This lesson is designed to engage students across all age groups—Kindergarten through Middle School—helping them understand the significance of this important event in Christian faith.
Lesson Overview: The lesson will begin with a Family Devotional time, encouraging reflection on key Bible passages (Matthew 26:17-30, Mark 14:12-26, Luke 22:7-23, John 13:1-30). This time will foster meaningful discussions about Jesus' love, sacrifice, and the importance of community and service.
Following the devotional, students will participate in age-appropriate activities:
Kindergarten to 2nd Grade: Engaging in story time, crafts, a bread-sharing activity, and singing about Jesus' love and friendship.
3rd to 5th Grade: Diving deeper into Bible reading, engaging in an art project, role-playing, and memorizing a key verse from Luke 22:19.
Middle School: Participating in an in-depth Bible study, reflective journaling, group discussions, and creative projects that connect the Last Supper's meaning to their personal experiences.
Florida State Standards Alignment: This lesson aligns with Florida State Standards in English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Visual Arts, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience.
Family Involvement: We encourage families to continue the conversation at home. The take-home devotional booklet will include reflection questions and coloring activities to reinforce the lesson's themes.
