Words That Build - Whale Shark
Dear Parents and Guardians,
This week, we are diving into an exciting learning adventure with whale sharks! Through our lesson, your child will explore how to build a complete sentence while also learning about the importance of words in our daily lives.
Whale sharks are the biggest fish in the ocean, yet they are gentle and peaceful. Just like we carefully build sentences with a subject, verb, and punctuation, we should also build our words wisely—with kindness, truth, and love.
To extend this learning at home, we have included a Family Devotional based on Proverbs 16:24:
"Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones."
This devotional will help your family reflect on how our words have the power to build up or tear down. Just as we form meaningful sentences in writing, we can use our words to encourage and uplift those around us.
Here’s how you can participate at home:
Read and discuss the devotional together.
Encourage your child to share a kind sentence with a family member.
Reinforce the sentence-building lesson by asking your child to write a sentence about a whale shark.
We hope this lesson not only strengthens your child’s writing skills but also helps them understand the value of using their words for good. Thank you for being a part of this learning journey!
Blessings,
